STAFF at a care home in Llandrindod Wells were so determined to give their residents a wonderful Christmas this year, despite the on-going pandemic, that a group of carers got together and acted out their own festive play.
The team at Wylesfield care home joined forces to take part in ‘A Lad in Dod’ which is based on the popular Aladdin show.
We all know that pantomimes play a big part in the festive season and staff at the home made sure that the residents did not miss out this year.
Lowri Owen, service manager at the Shaw healthcare home, said: “Under the current restrictions we are unable to have professional entertainers come into the home, but our activities champion, Pam Barlow, really stepped up to the plate and did a wonderful job organising this production.
“This is just another example of what an amazing team we have Wylesfield. It has been a very busy couple of weeks here with our new visiting pod being delivered and our annual Christmas party for the residents as well as other festive celebrations.”
One resident said: “This performance really got me in the Christmas spirit, they were all hilarious.”
